Mailbox Monday #80

This week I received three wonderful books - 2 for review and 1 just to read.

For review from Amazon Vine - Next to Love by Ellen Feldman.  I particularly was interested in this book because it is set in Massachusetts during WWII.

For review from Rarebird Lit - Half Upon a Time by James Riley - I love fairytales and this is a fractured fairytale - which was always my favorite segment on the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show!  This one has a little Jack in the Beanstalk and a little Snow White for starters.

From Sourcebooks - The Man Who Loved Pride & Prejudice by Abigail Reynolds - First of all, I love this cover!  I think the colors are just beautiful - and truthfully were the first things that caught my eye.  I also tend to like modern stories about Pride and Prejudice more than the original - I previously enjoyed Mr. Darcy Broke My Heart so I can't wait to read this one.

What awesomeness arrived in your mailbox this week?

Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia at The Printed Page but is now on a monthly blog tour.  For the month of August it will be held by Staci at Life in the Thumb.

  5. I just finished re-reading Pride and Prejudice. I really should try some of these alternate takes on it sometime but I like the original so much I'm always thinking nothing else will come close to it. :)
