Mailbox Monday #124

MM

Mailbox Monday means a new week has begun – and that mean’s new books have arrived in my mailbox and probably yours as well!

I received 3 books this week – 2 paper-copy and one ebook.

The ebook I received was a win from So Many Precious Books, So Little Time – The Secret Letters of Marilyn Monroe and Jacqueline Kennedy by Wendy Leigh.  This sounds like an interesting – but entirely unbelievable – concept.  However, I do love reading about First Ladies.

I also picked up a book on one of this nations favorite Presidents – Thomas Jefferson.  I am participating in a read-along with the History Book Club on Goodreads and was selected to receive a copy of the book, Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power by Jon Meacham, from the publisher to participate.  I will be reviewing it sometime in late February at the end of the read-along.  Meacham has written a couple other books of my reading list about presidents so I am looking forward to this.

I also received, for review as part of the HFBRT tour, a copy of The Gilded Lily by Deborah Swift.  I am about 20 pages in so far and really enjoying it.  Expect a review and giveaway on November 19th.

So that’s it for me – how about you?

Mailbox Monday is on a monthly blog tour and for the month of November it is being hosted by Edgy Inspirational Romance.

  2. I can't wait to get my hands on 'The Gilded Lily'. I have read Deborah Swift's other book, 'The Lady's Slipper' and loved it and I hope this new one is just as good as the last. Glad to see you are enjoying it. Happy reading.
