We can all say that you should never judge a book by its cover, but I guarantee that we all have done so at least once! Cover Crush is designed to feature some of those covers that have caught the eye as a standout on the bookshelf.
First thing I noticed is the two women and their dresses. The red and yellow dresses and the bluish background are all primary colors that stand out. The dresses have beautiful beading and are flashy. The ship at the bottom is almost an afterthought, but seeing it, it is the thing that makes me want to pick up the book and look at it. Otherwise, it just seems to be a story of two women, but the ocean liner tells me that it will likely be interesting – either drama of the ship itself or what happens in the confines of the ship. Either way, I would check out the blurb.
What are your thoughts on this cover?
I wonder what my friends are crushing on this week? Let’s check it out: 2 Kids and Tired Books, A Literary Vacation, A Bookaholic Swede, and Layered Pages.
The cover is very intriguing.
ReplyDeleteI do tend to judge a book by its cover and this looks good.
