Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page.
I really brought in a haul this week from so many different sources. I just cleaned off my shelves about a month ago, and now I need more space again - looks like I might need another bookcase - such a bad thing ;).
From the UK Book Depository - continuing my Plaidy collection
• The Heart of the Lion – Jean Plaidy
• The Prince of Darkness – Jean Plaidy
From Paperbackswap - continuing my Robin Maxwell collection
• Virgin: Prelude to the Throne – Robin Maxwell
• The Queen’s Bastard – Robin Maxwell
• The Nonesuch – Georgette Heyer
• Mademoiselle Boleyn – Robin Maxwell
From Authors/Publishers for Review
• Her Fearful Symmetry – Audrey Niffenegger
From Blog Friends
• 1942 – Robert Conroy (from Sarah from Reading the Past)
• Troy: Fall of Kings (from Sarah from Reading the Past)
• The Golden Tulip – Rosaline Laker (received from Arleigh - to review)
• The Dark Lantern – Gerri Brightwell (received from Arleigh - to review)
That is my best week ever. How was your week - in mailbox terms?

Very nice haul! I love reading about the loot everyone gets in the mail :D
ReplyDeleteAlso, since I'm here, I'm curious which Jean Plaidy books you have already! It's so hard to find them in Canada!!
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time finding many of them too - that is why I have been buying them from uk book depository - free shipping too. I have The Sixth Wife, The Merry Monarch's Wife, Rose Without a Thorn, The Plantagenet Prelude, The Revolt of the Eaglets, The Heart of a Lion, The Prince of Darkness, Madame Serpent, The Italian Woman, Queen Jezebel, Louis the Well Beloved, The Road to Campiegne, Flaunting Extravagent Queen, as well as Lilith (which might be under a pen name, I don't remember) - but I have only read 3 so far!
ReplyDeleteOooh I want to know how Her Fearful Symmetry and Troy: The Fall of Kings are!
ReplyDeleteYou got some great books! Enjoy reading them and I can't waite for the reviews!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a fab mailbox. Glad Arleigh got those books out to you before the flood. Some of her books are goners now, and I am just so sad for her and her family about everything. She said that her Plaidy's were ok though! Thank goodness for her.
