Suddenly Sunday - Reading Funk

Good morning friends!  Hope you are having a wonderful summer weekend - it has been just beautiful here.  The last few days I have been in a small reading funk.  I am loving listening to The American Heiress, but two days ago I left off reading it (at a very interesting part mind you) to just listen to music.  And when I would usually be reading I have been choosing to watch baseball instead.  Now, while I don't think that there is anything wrong with taking some time off from reading, and basically I have been reading non-stop for two years, I feel a little bad for not really reading.  Hopefully I shake this off soon.  In the meantime, I apologize for the less frequent reviews and more filler content.

And on to other, more important news...the winner of the Incognito by Gregory Murphy is....

Carol Wong!!!

Congrats!  I will be sending you out an email for your mailing information.  If I don't receive the information within 7 days I will select a new winner.

Hope you all have a great rest of the weekend!

Suddenly Sunday is hosted by Svea at The Muse in the Fog Book Review.

  1. I think it's ok to take a break from reading every now and then :) No need to feel guilty about that.

    Congrats Carol!

  2. I go through reading funks every so often myself. Sometimes you just need a break from books :-)

Hope your reading funk doesn't last too long.

  3. First Whoppeeeee! Thank you so much. I waiting for your e-mail.

I do that too. I like to switch back and forth between reading and cross stitch and other stuff! Makes living more fun!

  4. I fall into a similar rut every now and then too: I usually find it follows a string of quickly-finished books, and then I'll start a book that just seems to take me FOREVER to get through, whether I enjoy it or not. Strange things, these reading ruts!

  5. That happens to me, too -- and if I didn't have so many reviews scheduled I'd probably be in a bit of a reading-less spot at the moment -- sometimes I just need a break (even tho I too feel guilty when not reading!).
