Cover Crush: What is Left the Daughter

Cover Crush

We can all say that you should never judge a book by its cover, but I guarantee that we all have done so at least once! Cover Crush is designed to feature some of those covers that have caught the eye as a standout on the bookshelf.

While I don’t understand the title of this one, and that could turn me off from it in and of itself, the cover is engaging.  It still feels disconnected from the title, but it would draw me over to take a further look at it.  It’s creepy.  The boat looks abandoned and not in the best shape – it reminds me of the Cover Crush I did a few weeks ago for The House on Foster Hill – same sort of vibe.

What are your thoughts on this cover?

I wonder what my friends are crushing on this week? Let’s check it out: A Literary Vacation; A Bookaholic Swede; Flashlight Commentary; Layered Pages; 2 Kids and Tired Books.

    1. I think if "the" wasn't in a completely different font it might make more visual sense.

  3. I like the cover. Reminds me of books set in Cornwall a la Du Maurier but the title and cover seem so far removed from each other.
