Cover Crush: The Cottingley Secret

Cover Crush

We can all say that you should never judge a book by its cover, but I guarantee that we all have done so at least once! Cover Crush is designed to feature some of those covers that have caught the eye as a standout on the bookshelf.

the secret

I love how this cover shows the little “ghosts”, “faeries”, or “spirits” – when the story is about how these girls were able to successfully photograph the faeries.  Beyond that it is atmospheric and beautiful, even if it is simple in composition.  This cover pulls the concept of the story beautifully.

What are your thoughts on this cover?

I wonder what my friends are crushing on this week? Let’s check it out: 2 Kids and Tired Books; A Bookaholic Swede; Layered Pages; A Literary Vacation

  1. This is a beautiful cover, and I loved her book about the Titanic, so I'll have to give this one a try!
