Pinterest @ Joy's Book Blog - added a board for Author Interviews, Reviews in 2012, and Weekend Cooking. Also added a follow me on Pinterest button to the sidebar. If anyone needs an invite to Pinterest let me know!

Get Noticed by Search Engines (SEO) @ Good Books and Good Wine - I updated one post, my review of The Greatest Knight by Elizabeth Chadwick for ease of searching. However to update all my posts is going to take forever and be a labor of love.
Windows Live Writer @ The Reading Housewives of Indiana - I might try using this for my posts - but it will take some getting used to. UPDATE - I wrote and prescheduled my first post through Live Writer and it was actually very easy! Here is a screen shot of my sample post in Windows Live Writer:
Summary/Wrap Up: I was able to get more tasks completed than I expected too and still get some reading in too. I still have a lot to work on in terms of my SEO - that will be a long project. I however didn't finish the one thing that was my #1 goal for this - revising my review policy. I will get to it sometime this week. Another great bloggiesta. Thanks everyone for hosting challenges, giving advice and dropping by!

All of those sound like worthy tasks. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I managed to get more of them done than I expected and a lot of reading too. Real commitment!
DeleteOkay, where are my threaded comments? Is Blogger offering that option now?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like we're in the same boat. I have a ton of reading to do as well, but I couldn't pass up this chance to do some organizing and clean-up. Actually accomplished several things today. I was surprised! Good luck with all your tasks. You have a good list there. =O)
Blogger is offering threaded commenting now - there is a simple change that you have to make and then it should work. Mine took a few days after I made the switch for it to start working. Check out this post from Coffee and a Book Chick - she tells you how to do it and there are some helpful tips in the comments - http://www.coffeeandabookchick.com/2012/01/sunday-salon-blogger-introduces.html
DeleteThat is a great list! I have not even thought about my Goodreads account. What do you think of Caching Fire so far? I just finished it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your bloggiesta list!
So far, I am only about 100 pages in, and while it is good, it is slow going for me. At least more so that the first book was.
DeleteI really need to look into the Amazon Affliates program. Hopefully I will find some time this weekend. As I visit everyone participating, I keep finding new things to add to my blog.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your to-do list!!!
I do the same thing! I started out with a very small list and then as I visited more blogs this weekend I kept adding things to the list.
DeleteI like your list and as a blog follower and glad that you decided to omit the upcoming subjects.
ReplyDeleteI didn't omit the upcoming subjects - I created a tab at the top of the blog which will sort of act like a calendar. I'm going to list dates that I am scheduled to participate in different blog tours or have giveaways or if I am hosting a week long event. I'm not going to list everything, but the big things that I want people to know about and make sure they come by for.
DeleteGreat list Heather. I didn't officially join Bloggiesta, but plan on doing some cleaning up on my blog as well. Write posts, start new ones, etc. It's like doing cjores around the house. Hope you also get some reading time in as well :)
ReplyDeleteIt is like doing chores. I start keeping a list a few weeks before Bloggiesta begins of ideas I want to do.
DeleteWow, looks like you got a lot done! I cleaned up my reader this weekend as well.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised by how much I got accomplished!
