Current/most recent audiobook: I’m currently working on The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak (narrated by Allan Corduner).
Impressions: I am loving the narration and the way the story is written (loving the plot a little less). This guy is pretty funny and is quite convincing a Death. It certainly keeps you moving right along. Probably a little less than halfway through it.
Current favorite audiobook: It is currently a toss up. I really loved Water for Elephants by Sarah Gruen (narrated by David LeDoux and John Randolph Jones). I liked how they had two narrators – one for old Jacob and one for young Jacob. And really for me, the audiobook presentation had a stronger overall effect on me than the movie did. My other favorite is Are You There Vodka, It’s Me Chelsea, written and narrated by Chelsea Handler. I just love her comedy and the audio was very similar to her stand up - I was laughing so hard the entire time.
One narrator who always makes you choose audio over print: I don’t really have a narrator that I look for when making a choice about audiobooks – I usually care more about what book it is than the narrator. But if I could find more books I like that were narrated by Victor Garber I would snap them up in a heartbeat (I didn’t love Five Days in Paris by Danielle Steele, but loved the narration!)
Genre you most often choose to listen to: Mostly classics. The books that I have never had time to read or wanted to take time to read – now in audio I’m finally catching up!
If given the choice, you will always choose audio when: Any book written by James Patterson. I find that the suspense is built up so much better in audio than in the print version and I get sucked in quicker!
If given the choice, you will always choose print when: I tend to keep my historical fiction to print – mostly because I like to have the extra resources that tend to come in these types of books available to flip back too.

Now that you mention it, I tend to keep my historical fiction in print too, I'm not sure why. Maybe because it tends to the longer side?
