Mailbox Monday #70

Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia at The Printed Page but has since went out on a monthly blog tour.  For the month of April it will be hosted by Amy at Passages to the Past.

This week I received two books in my mailbox.

From PaperBackSwap I received The Russian Concubine by Kate Furnivall.  I have been wanting to get to some of her books for awhile now and there is no longer an excuse.

The other book was something I bought off of Ebay and will be a huge factor in an upcoming event toward the end of April - The Circus Fire by Stewart O'Nan.  I listened to this non-fiction on audio a couple of weeks ago and loved it and knew that I needed to get the book because there were lots of pictures in there (which you just don't get on a cd).  Beyond that, as this is going to be the focal point of my event, I wanted to have the physical book to refer back to.  Get excited for Circus Disaster Week!

Did anything exciting arrive in your mailbox this week?

  2. Audra - I'm super excited about it too! It seems that I have had a thing for disasters lately - Triangle Fire, Titanic, Circus - I don't know if that should be telling me something! lol.

  5. Librarypat - I actually hadn't heard about that one, and I don't think it was mentioned in the book. I will have to go research it - thanks!
