Off With Their Heads! - In Pictures

In continuing Off With Their Heads! Week, I have put together a slide show of contemporary drawings and paintings of the executions or the events leading up to the exections. There are a couple exceptions where I could not find contemporary works - so I used some screen captures from the Tudors.

    Interesting. I will never understand the public interest in watching a public execution as entertainment. Bringing children along just hurts to think about.

    LibraryPat - I cannot understand it either. I know that I would never want to go and why bring a kid to it, I will never know.
