The Women's Murder Club Reading Challenge - hosted by Yvonne at Socrates' Book Reviews - has come to an end, and I didn't do as well as I had hoped. My goal was to finish the series, meaning I needed to read books 3 - 8 (I'm not counting 9 because it came out during the challenge) and I only finished through book 7 - and that was only because I rushed. Basically I lost track of the date that the challege ended and I thought I still had a few more months - oh well, I am going to start reading the 8th book tomorrow.Anyway this was a great challenge and Yvonne is now hosting an Alex Cross Reading Challenge and a James Patterson Reading Challenge - at least one of which I am planning on joining as soon as I catch up on the above.

I like his Alex Cross book and some of his others, especially the Winged Children which show up first in two adult books than in their own YA series. I will have to say that I have listened to most of his books rather than read them. His short chapter style seemed choppy to me when I read it. Will have to try again.
ReplyDeleteLibrary Pat - I read the first Alex Cross and enjoyed it, but I think I like the Women's Murder Club better. I actually like the short chapters - it makes it easier to read when you don't have a lot of time, but there are many places where there could be a slightly longer short chapter and actually complete a thought.
